Founder & President

Dr. Mildred Summerville

Educator. Humanitarian. Author. Playwright. Producer. Visionary leader.

A retired educator and school administrator, Dr. Summerville has devoted her life to education, the arts, faith, and community development. She founded Wilson Idol, Tall One Outreach Ministries, Summerville Academy, Summerville Consulting Firm, and the Summerville Institute.

Known as “The Tall One,” a name given by Dr. Shirley Caesar, she has received more than 50 honors—including two President’s Lifetime Achievement Awards.
